Some branches of Oceangraphy also study the marine ecosystems and living creatures of the ocean.
This job requires long durations away from home. Oceangraphers work in offices, labs and on the field too. They often work in multidisciplinary teams with other kinds of experts.
Oceanographers are often involved in the restoration of shorelines and off shore oil rigs.
Many Oceanographers have at least Masters or PhD qualifications.
