There is a place where vast amount of information may be assessed. No, I am not talking about the Internet. I am referring to the Library. The roles and responsibilities of the Librarian involves carrying out various functions pertaining to the operations of a library.
These various functions includes acquisition of books and resources. Tasks such as cataloguing, circulating and organising library materials are part and parcel of the job.
Often, the responsibility of the librarian goes beyond physical acquisitions. They may be required to perform research work, develop library-related policies and procedures. Additionally, Librarian may be called upon to develop and deliver programs and activities for the library.
With the advent of internet and digital technology, librarians are also called upon to work with digital and on-line assets such as electronic publications.
There are various places that a librarian may be employed. This includes public libraries, museums, schools, college and universities.
As for qualification, having the relevant degree in Library and Information Science is advantageous. Clerical studies are also of relevance.

A Banqueting waiter is often employed on a part time or freelance basis. However, senior positions within this career may be employed full time or as regulars. This is a kind of job within the Hospitality Industry.
Formal qualification is usually not required for this work. The job of such a waiter is to serve dishes during a Banquet. What is a Banquet? It is a large meal where many people are invited to that is served with main courses and desserts. A banquet often is a kind of social event for gathering, celebration or ceremony. Such an event maybe held in a hotel or restaurant.
Waiters are often required to serve dishes in the midst of lavish ambience and music. Usually the overall in-charge of a Banquet is the Banqueting Manager. Waiters and other positions such as Porters may be under the charge of the manager.

Financial controlling is a task of the accounts department. The responsible of the Financial Controller include analysis and budgeting for the company. The budgeting duration can be both medium and long-term in nature.
The controller’s role involves and includes financial management, supervision of financial as well as accounting reports. The immediate superior of the Financial Controller is often the Finance Director.
As this is a senior position, typically a significant amount of experience is required to fit the role. A Financial Controller is usually someone with the right accountancy qualification. This is often a good Accountancy/ACCA Degree. Good leadership and supervisory abilities are also important for this job. In addition, good written and verbal communication skills are significant too.

Banqueting manager is the one who is in charge of the banqueting department. Such a department usually existing within a hotel environment. The Banqueting manager is part of the hospitality industry.
The job of such a manager typically invloves the managing and organising of functions as well as conferences that are scheduled by the hotel.
As a Banqueting Manager, one may be responsible for the followings:
1. Food and beverage supplies
2. Maintenance of department
3. Staffs of the department
4. Finances of the department
Qualification-wise, past experiences in the banqueting field is an added advantage. Certifications such as BTEC and NVQ are of high relevance too.
