Music can have healing qualities. Results have suggested that the rhythms of music can have some calming effects on people. A Music Therapist helps disabled people through the medium of music. This may include teaching them how to make music and encouraging them to listen to it.
To be a music therapist one must firstly be musically-inclined. He or she should be a musician and/or have completed course/s in music.
Because a music therapist is working with handicapped persons, he or she must possess great patience and compassion.
