The work of a Psychotherapist involves treating patients of psychological disturbances. These disturbances can manifest as thoughts, emotions and  behaviours. Often over-agressiveness and shyness are reasons for seeking treatment.

To be a Psychotherapist, one must have the passion and concern for the wellbeing of others. He or she should possess a Degree related to pyschology. A Psychotherapist must also be well-balanced in order to treat others.

Psychotherapist may be employed in places like clinics, hospitals and schools. As this is a highly specialised profession, the number of persons working in this field is relatively low.
