Career Profile: Swimming Pool Servicer

Swimming pool servicer job scope involves the maintenance of swimming pools. These includes doing reglar cleaning and servicing. Part of the work may require the servicer to added chemicals into the pool. These chemicals such as chlorine must be added in at the correct amount.

Besides this, removing debris is also part of the work. This may be done with a net or via vacuuming of the pool bottom.

Training to be a servicer is typically done on-the-job. A driving license may be rquires as the just requires a fair bit of driving. High school knowledge of pipe fitting, chemistry and metal-work may be beneficial for the job.

To get the job, one may have to write to companies that service swimming pools.

This is a physical based job. Servicers may be required to wear gloves.
