A Database Analyst is expected to provide input on highly complex and high-impacting decisions within his specialty. He usually possesses a degree in computer-related studies or Information Systems with 7-10 years of experience in the IT and business experience.

With a good track record, he may progress to become a Database Administrator at a large installation, or a Database Vendor that provides sales and consulting services.
