The Career Information and Profile of the Firefighter will be described in this article. A Firefighter is also known as a Fireman. The job of a firefighter includes attending to fires and other types of emergencies. The work helps in protecting life and properties. Besides fighting fire, the fireman also need to be able to administer first aid and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation to injured persons.

Fire services operate 24 hours a day. So firefighters are often assigned shift works.

What does it take to become a firefighter? To be a firefighter, one must be physically fit. He must have good eyesight, height and physique. Firefighters must undergo intensive firefighting courses. Among many things, he will be trained to use firefighting equipments as well as operating procedures.

Besides being physically capable, a firefighter must also be courageous and practical. He must also be a good team player. Female firefighters are rare. This is a job that is largely dominated by men.
