What does a Spa Manager do? Basically, he is in charge of the smooth day-to-day operations of a spa. He has to supervise and train his staffs to meet customers’ satisfactions and needs. He is also responsible for coordinating activities with Sales and Marketing personnels to generate revenue for his outlet through the retailing of spa products and treatment packages.
A Spa and Wellness Manager must be presentable-looking, have good interpersonal skills, and be able to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.
One would require a Diploma in Leisure and Resort Management, with Spa and Wellness Management preferred, as well as 3 years of experience in the spa, wellness and beauty line. With experience, career opportunities includes promotion to a Spa Consultant or a Spa Director.
