Some machines can be prone to breaking down. Under certain curcumstances, it is better to get the machine repaired than to get new ones. Also, machines may tend to decrease in performance with age. These machines may need servicing to improve performances again.
This is when the Service Mechanic comes into the picture.
The job scope of the service mechanic involves servicing and repairing business as well as domestic machines. These business machines include photocopier, fax, printers, etc. Domestic machines includes refrigerators, washing machines, etc.
A service mechanic is often required to go to the customers’ place. As such, this job entails a lot of travelling. Because of this, having a driving license is an added bonus.
There is often no formal educational requirement to be a service mechanic. However, some employers requires some relevant certifications. Typically, trainings are provided while on the job.
