What to consider when selecting a Corporate Gift

What is a Corporate Gift? It is a souvenir that you give to a client or customer.

Buying a corporate gift can be a tricky thing. This is because you want to create the correct impression to the client. You don’t want to overspend, yet you don’t want to appear cheap and stingy.

The followings are some important considerations when choosing corporate gifts:

1. Know the company policy. This allows you to align the gifts’ objective to the policy.

2. First impression lasts. This is important because the first impression is crucial. For this reason, it is better to go for quality rather than quantity. The corporate gift reflects the company’s image. It will be difficult to establish a good image and reputation if the gifts are of low quality.

3. Personal delivery of the corporate gift is better. This will create a better and lasting impression of you once the client opens the gift. Handwritten cards to be included in the gift package will be much appreciated. This will create a positive  and more lasting effect if the signature is hand written.

4. Know the cultural differences of your clients and customers. Research into their customs and culture. Give sonmething that is cultural acceptable for the clients. Most cultures have somethings that are have negative symbolisms. Avoid giving such gifts, unless you want to run the risk of offending the clients and customer.
